With boundless negative words hovering upon government practices, it may also be healthy to rant every now and then about their efficient programs:
1. NSO (National Statistics Office) Helpline Plus. They have an on-call 24-hour service with fluent and professional call recipients. The user-friendly and not so boring website was just as helpful as well. With these avenues, we can request for copies of birth, marriage, and other certificates and passports via the website, the phone, snail mail, or the orthodox commute-to-their-office-wherever-the-nearest-one-is hassle. To pay? Easy! Credit card for online requests or, in cooperation with our local banks, pay to nearest Metrobank branch or to its ATM network. Verdict: Impressive!
2. WOW Philippines by the Department of Tourism. Simply put, I appreciate their feel-good marketing efforts - the song, the video, the media placement, the artists, the composer, not to mention, the website. I like it!
