This is the beginning of the reveal of the confused head and heart of the woman of steel.
It all began when she first experienced the magic of tears. The overflow of words and incomprehensible gestures could not be contained within the limits of propriety. It is a saga of drama.
What she thought was never ending and forever found termination one summer day when the scorching heat of the sun vacuumed droplets of sweat from her bare skin. The villain Pride conquered her soft heart and crunched it with its abominable fist until it turned stone cold.
A reasonable disposition brought her to linger and abide by her newly discovered rules. Wait number one. Wait number two. Wait number… She decided, ‘No more.’
Until one day an unfamiliar light took leap to bring her fresh air. She breathed this new day. It was joyful and light. It was different. It was relaxing and fun. It was restful. He walked towards her with his unassuming stature to offer a new beginning.
Without a doubt, she took notice of this fresh breeze and rested her head on his presence.
Days passed and deaths passed. Forever did return but to her was a record holder of tardiness. To her mind, the return was uneventful (but looking back, tears occupied her nights in pain and confusion). Nonetheless, she has already braved to move on. She has already found new day that was bold enough to inscribe romance in their clasped hands. The sun has risen anew.
So forever was put aside and remained quiet and respectful of this unexpected news. It tore him apart but dealt with it with grace and gentleness. But at that time, to her mind, he was just too quiet. As if he possessed no courage fit for a king.
She took no heed of his pleas. All she could hear was a baseless cry. She shut the door fast and loud. Strong enough that she didn’t even hear the thud. Or she had just gone too numb to feel his earth quake.
Meanwhile, new day was by her side. New day was what she needed. New day brought her away from all the cracks of life and seizures of death. It was a whole new world on an intricately designed carpet of beauty and romance. Somehow, she could run free, at least in her dreams, again.
